1. Is your system truly integrated?
Absolutely. Whilst other software houses leave out some modules like accounts, postcode lookup, carrier interface, purchase planning, warehouse modelling etc, Safewire believe you can only truly offer a fully integrated package if they write all the modules. This way no compromises are made in fitting in with other software companies.

2. Will the system cope with my busiest months?
Arx copes 24/7, 365 days of the year, and tells you what additional pick/pack hours you need to fulfil your forecast. You can also have your fulfilment operation organised by the system to allow you to use temporary staff for the packing: without loss of accuracy, speed or quality.

3. I have a really difficult software problem that nobody seems to be able to offer a satisfactory result for, can you help?
Safewire staff have many years’ experience working and providing solutions in the multi-channel environment. The more challenging the problem the better: this is where Arx excels when compared with its competitors.

4. How up-to-date is the information in your system?
Some systems postpone intensive database updates until an overnight run. Arx processes orders, stock and accounts instantly. This gives your customer service staff the whole picture, always.

5. How long does it take to process an order?
A typical eight-line order takes under a minute with Arx, and enquiries take half as long. You can maintain service levels with half the number of operators, screens and software licences.

6. Is this a true, multi-channel system, or will I have to trick it into doing what I need ?
Arx was developed within a busy, multichannel business by the directors responsible for the marketing, so it has been developed to be a true, multi-channel system.

7. Will the system grow with my business?
An under-performing system can cost you in many areas - Arx allows you to smoothly upgrade from 5 to 5,000 users without wastage or changing the way you work.

8. What about my current investment in equipment?
Arx will run on Windows, most Linux and Unix flavours and OpenVMS as servers and almost anything as a client. You can use multiple servers to spread the load and extend the life of existing hardware. The efficiency of Arx saves you having to upgrade as soon as other systems require.

9. How easy is it to change over from my existing system ?
Arx can easily and quickly import your current data, and well-documented screens facilitate enjoyable training.

10. We have high customer service levels and operate same-day despatch, are your systems up to date enough to cope with this?
Safewire welcomes high customer service level companies, this is where Arx really shows its teeth with its blistering performance updating in real time. Our clients have won ECMOD customer service and best transactional website awards.

11. Have you a proven track record for delivering proven software business solutions?
Created for Safewire by a top system designer with two commercially successful multi-channel software applications in use by some of the largest mail order companies, Arx is the third offering and most advanced yet.

12. Does the software house understand my business and what I need to achieve?
How many software companies do you know who have actually managed a successful multi-channel, mail order business themselves? You won’t need to explain much to Safewire, their staff know what you’re talking about, they’ve done your job.

13. What happens when there is a problem?
Safewire have designed Arx to cope with real world failures. It allows you to back up the system while it is running and taking orders so there is no compromisebetween availability and safety. Data can be continuously shadowed to a remote server (e.g. over the Internet or fibre optic) that can take over if a server fails. Data rollback ensures no corruption of data even after a disk failure during an update.
